Funding Opportunities
Please note: Professional Development Fellowships funds for substitute reimbursement has been depteted for our 2018-2019 fiscal year. Registration fee and lodging reimbursments are still available.
Parent Education Fellowships are currently available for registration fee, lodging reimbursement and child care expenses.

•  Professional Development Fellowship funding for the professional development fellowships will be offered to individuals in STAR NET Region IV's area in the southernmost 38 counties of Illinois.  Funds are available for individual requests of up to $100 per award, and may be used for, lodging, substitute fees, or registration. Note: Individuals may apply only once during our fiscal year.

   Recommended ISBE Hotel Rates 

         If you have applied for lodging, please be aware that we can only reimburse up to the following state rates:

• Chicago Metropolitan Areas - $130.00 plus tax.

• Will, Dupage, Kane, McHenry and Lake Counties - $80.00 plus tax.
  

• Downstate Metropolitan Areas (encompasses counties of Champaign, Kankakee, La Salle, McLean, Macon, Madison, Peoria, St. Clair, Sangamon, Taswell and Winnebago) - $70.00 plus tax.  

• Other Downstate Illinois Areas (not listed above) - $60.00 plus tax.  

  STAR NET  Region IV is administered by:
St. Clair County Regional Office of Education Susan Sarfaty, Regional Superintendent.
Operated through a grant awarded by the Illinois State Board of Education;
100% of annual funding for the project is from federal sources.
